Paranormal romance is one of the fastest growing genres in romance fiction. It has it’s roots in Gothic fiction and uses elements from traditional genres such as science-fiction, horror and fantasy together with romance to create a very creative and complex genre that makes for explosive reading material. You never know exactly what is going to happen next because it breaks away from all the traditional restrictions of a romance book.

Paranormal Romance blends reality with fantasy or science fiction elements. It can be set in a normal urban environment with magical beings living amongst humans without them realizing it or it can be set on another world entirely. Time travel between future and past or between worlds can also be an element used in paranormal romances. Some of the more popular characters used in paranormal romance are vampires, werewolves, witches, faeries, ghosts and magical wielding beings.

Paranormal Romance books are still primarily a story of love about the developing relationship between two people but there is the chance to put a spin on the traditional views of a romance book where the hero of the story is a big brawny male with the ripped open shirt who rescues the weaker female with the heaving bosom and they live happily ever after. Not that there is anything wrong with that, mind you, but paranormal romance is allowing authors to create stronger female characters in their books. Rather than females being the weaker, helpless sex in the romance, authors are creating females that can kick demons buts, vanquish vampires and even rescue the male. Creating female characters that today’s readers can relate to.

Paranormal Romance books have become popular because of their mix of fast moving, complex and interesting plot lines and stronger, more modern characters. Add in some cheeky dialogue and it creates a book that allows the reader to take a ride into the unknown where anything can happen and it usually does.

Classic romance novels take us to a land that can only be best described by great classic romance writers. Romance in the classic sense is simply invaluable. It continues to inspire many a contemporary writers to continue with what was started. There are very many writers who managed to please the world with their classic shows of romance. One of the greatest dramatists is William Shakespeare. His classics for romance are still used today, not just to inspire but, to teach new explorers of writing, what romance is all about. If you are not much of a reader, classic stories of love are those that were written in ages that have long passed. Such work is preserved in books which are often novels. There is nothing more valuable than looking through the eyes of past great writers to uncover a common emotion that is called love.

All classic romance novels, there are very many varieties and it really depends on what you want. If it is erotica you want, you will find it. You are bound to discover some of the greatest features of such writings of love. The most outstanding feature is the real and unspoiled thought of love. The fresh outlook on what love was; and still is. The depth of love has been able to capture all ages as they marvel at great love stories. That of Romeo and Juliet is certainly a classic that will continue to sizzle many generations. As a reader, you can almost touch the depth of love and, this is something not common in the contemporary setting. When people choose to die for the sake of love, it makes for a distinct love story. In the end, you are tempted not to think about sadness; after all, there is nothing to be sad about when people are together in life or beyond life. Your taste will contribute to the kind of classic romance you choose to read.

Dynamic and often bold characters power classic romance. Their ideals are something we can all think about. Make a point of buying or dusting a classic love tale and, see what the characters are all about. You are guaranteed to be drawn into a world of adventure and love. The classic stories are a window into what the past was like in matters of the heart. The stories will reveal certain struggles and, you will realize that love was worth fighting for. Since most of the stories are fictional, you will get to be entertained from the imaginations of great writers. There are very many other writers who played a major role in paving the way for romance writing in the English language. They include the following Sir Walter Scott, George Elliott, Charles Dickens, Thomas Hardy, Ann Bonte and many others. We pay tribute to the great writers of classic love stories.

When you think of romance, your mind might go to a candlelight dinner, a bottle of Champagne, roses, or strawberries dipped in chocolate. The last thing, if it ever came to mind, would be Italian, Spanish, or Portuguese. What are Romance languages? When discussing language, Romance languages are the descendants of the spoken form of Latin, which is also known as Vulgar Latin. The word vulgar in this instance does not mean coarse or off-color. It means common or the usual, typically, everyday speech of regular people.

The languages considered to be Romance languages are modern French, Italian, Spanish, Romanian, Catalan, the Romansch group of dialects used in Switzerland, and Sardinian. Also included are the languages Occitan and Provencal from France, Andalusian from Spain, Friulian from northeast Italy, Ladin from northern Italy, and Sicilian from southern Italy.

Many of the Romance languages are regional dialects rather than the national language of the country where they are spoken. They have been classified together because they have a shared section of vocabulary, which originated in the influence of the language of the Roman conquerors. Today there are nearly 625 million people who speak Romance languages.

Italian like the other Romance languages is the direct offspring of the Latin spoken by the Roman conquerors, which was forced on them by these Romans. Of all the major Romance languages, Italian kept the closest to the original Latin. When you consider the power of the Roman empire, you might think that more of latin should have survived to the modern day. Yet it has not. Italian is the closes you can get for a modern day, living language.

With the midst of our busy lives we often forget to share our feelings with the ones we love. It is therefore important to remind the people we love with small gestures. To keep romance alive in a relationship is the most important thing.

If the romance remains, you and your partner will be blissful. In order to achieve that state you need to keep on trying so here are some tips. A morning coffee with your partner with a bouquet of flowers and a card which expresses your feelings wont be a bad idea to start a Sunday?. How about a drive and a picnic where you both talk about romantic times spent together. You might want to take your parents favorite desert or drink along to the picnic. A small gift from your side would also do the trick. See what they like if they. Try writing a poem for them, if that seems very difficult then a few lines about how you feel for them or just a thank you to them for being with you will also do some magic. A dinner at their favorite restaurant, buy them their favorite dress, wear something they like you in, sit with them and watch a movie together, hold hands. Sometimes we forget that doing the most basic gestures is so important. When married or living together we forget the importance of holding hands or hugging. All these things keep a relationship alive. So you should try to keep the romance alive at every cost. A key chain with your initials on it for their new car, a locket with your and their names on it, anything which you feel they would appreciate or you would want them to have is a good way to ignite the romance in your relationship.

Have you experienced romantic love when you have sent flowers for no reason? When you sent hundreds of ecards in a single day. When you wrote poetry for your beloved and he/she heard it as if it was a piece of great art? When you search around for love quotes on the Internet like mad? When you wanted all that you could do to make your sweetheart happy? This is a phase of romantic love that is not gifted by God to everyone. Very few lucky ones fall in such love. Let us talk about the passion of this romance.

When we talk of history, we come across instances when wars were fought for women. The wars were fought when the lovers were in this romantic phase. In this phase, both the girl and the boy defy every convention, break all the norms and think only of their beloved. The passion of this love is incomparable. In this passion, if somebody hurts the beloved, the lovers may even kill that person. What we read about romance is this phase when all logic is thrown to the wind and heart rules over the head completely.

How about a theme wedding from a famous romantic couple? You dress like Juliet, your lover like Romeo? Also want a happily-ever-after relationship? BEWARE! Many of our popular relationships in literature have ended in disaster. We’re listing here some of the well known romantic couples in theatrical productions you probably know. This is what became of these marvelous loves. +Aladdin and Jasmine: Yes, that’s a good one, lots of other people are evil, but the true loves never let us down. Not with Disney in the mix. +Annie Get Your Gun: Annie and Frank Butler live glamorously, conflict mightily but end happily together. +Anything Goes: Here’s a great romp onboard ship with the FBI chasing one of our men, great 1938 costumes and two romances reaching the happily-ever-after stage. +Beauty and the Beast: Like Aladdin and Jasmine, it has to be positive. It’s Disney. -Brigadoon: Up for a Scottish village life, dancing, kilts and music? Think twice, our hero leaves the lovely maiden behind. +Bye Bye Birdie: Well of course–But despite dream of glamour, we find out with our lovely heroines that the plain ol’-same ol’ guys are the best for long-term relationship. +Cinderella: Well yes, if your feet are small enough. -Crucible: Beautiful and sad, the lovers are destined to destroy and be destroyed. -Cyrano: Most beautiful romance which never can be. We see Cyrano and Roxanne live to be celebate old people, withered and unfulfilled. +Damn Yankees: Here’s another one in which we find that despite the excitement and lust of possibility, Joe, our hero, returns to his middle aged wife and mundane life–and is glad of it. -Dracula: Never +Fiddler on the Roof: Beautiful tale of good people loving each other through incredible tragedy and pain in society. +Fools: Comedy of 1900s Russian country village, and in comedy, the boy gets the girl. +Grease: You can dress like 50s Thunderbirds and Pink Ladies, and still end happy and in love. +Guys and Dolls: Everybody happy here, this one is OK. +How to Success in Business: Satire on corporate America in which the people with absolutely no morals but lots of charm end happy. +Importance of Being Ernest: Sure, go for the turn-of-the-last-century rich people clothes, enjoy. -Jekyll and Hyde: Stay away form this image, As the reliable and curious scientist Jekyll gets more involved with his own drug experiments, tragedy ensues. Pretty obvious moral to the story. +Jungle Book: Well it’s all about Simba and Nala, so you can be lions if you like. -King and I: So romantic, and made more so as the King dies and the British school teacher goes home. +Little Shop of Horrors: Well, they probably would have done fine without the plant…but then would there be a play? +Little Women: Long, gentle story of love. In which father leaves his family without a way to support themselves, to join the military. And lots of people love each other unconditionally. +Much Ado About Nothing: This is a romantic comedy of love and forgiveness. Consider planning to have your love killed because you think she might have been unfaithful. But it ends well. Shakespeare’s comedies always do. +Music Man: Happy Happy Happy. +My Fair Lady: Here’s another one that ends well, despite the obtuse behavior of the professor. +Oklahoma: Yes, of course Laurie and Ado Annie both get the right guy. -Othello: Othello and Desdemona–another tragedy. -Our Town: This small-town turn-of-the-last century classic is a Romeo and Juliet knock-off. A tragedy. -Peter Pan: Well…depends on your version. We think Peter has a fatal flaw you better watch…always wants to be a boy, never a man. +Pippin: A boy growing up, experiencing all the growing pains of becoming a man. He ends being happy with a calm, responsible family relationship. +Pirates of Penzance: All the couples get together, just as they should. -Romeo and Juliet: Tragedy in which both of the lovers end their lives. +Solid Gold Cadillac: 40′s corporate play in which the good guys are rewarded and romance ends happily. +Sound of Music: Well yes, they climbed over the mountain together and escaped the evil Nazis. And didn’t lose a single child. +Taming of the Shrew: Powerful show of strong personalities–who end up happy together, as in all Shakespeare’s comedies. +Tom Jones: Tom the rake, out to have sexual relations with as many women as possible, finally settles down and becomes faithful. May your marriage last long and be filled with joy!
